Aggreko has launched three Tier 4 Final diesel generators designed specifically for remote Canadian work sites. The units are available in 145 kW, 210 kW and 1,200 kW 600V capacities and will be offered exclusively to Canadian contractors, the company said.
Aggreko says the generators are configured to meet and exceed local market needs and requirements. All three models are CSA and UN31A compliant, addressing electrical and fuel regulations in Canada. The company says they use its latest generator technologies to provide reliable, low-emissions power for commercial and industrial applications.
Onboard 600V capability
The 1,200 kW model offers onboard 600V capabilities. Aggreko says this eliminates the need for additional step-up transformers. The direct 600V output is intended to reduce project complexity and improve cost-efficiency while minimizing potential points of failure. Aggreko sees a particular advantage for large industrial loads where 600V is frequently required.
“Tailoring our most advanced generators for our Canadian customers underscores the importance of this market for Aggreko,” said Paul Nascimento, managing director for Canada at Aggreko. He said large petrochemical and mining industries need power across vast, remote territories, while construction and data centre sectors are also growing. According to Nascimento, Canada has clear demand for engineered energy solutions that are both powerful and precisely configured.
Model roles and fleet
The 145 kW and 210 kW models are readily deployable canopy units for immediate energy needs. The 1,200 kW model is positioned for large industrial loads. The new additions expand Aggreko’s Canadian fleet, which offers solutions from 25 kW to 1,200 kW.
- 145 kW and 210 kW: canopy units intended for immediate energy needs.
- 1,200 kW: unit for large industrial loads, with onboard 600V output.
- Compliance: all three models are CSA and UN31A compliant.
- Fleet range: 25 kW to 1,200 kW.
Through its Canadian service centres, Aggreko’s energy experts will work with customers in data centres, construction, oil and gas, mining and events to deploy temporary power for a range of applications.
Aggreko says all three generators provide fuel efficiency, ultra-low emissions and significantly controlled noise levels that surpass local requirements. The models are also aimed at Canada’s expanding data centre industry. As provincial regulators look to limit the amount of power data centre operators draw from the grid, Aggreko says the Tier 4 Final generators can provide off-grid energy to keep data centres operational with minimal disruption to communities.
The announcement focuses on generator configuration, compliance and intended applications. It does not quantify fuel savings, emissions reductions or noise levels, or identify customer deployments.
