The board of directors of Apollo Tyres Ltd has approved the company's unaudited financial results for the second quarter and first half of the 2026-27 financial year, reporting double-digit consolidated revenue growth alongside a change at the head of its finance function.
For the quarter ended September 30, 2026, consolidated revenue from operations rose 17% from a year earlier to Rs 7,968 crores, against Rs 6,831 crores in the same quarter of the previous fiscal. Operating profit for the quarter was Rs 855 crores, and net profit increased 13% to Rs 292 crores from Rs 258 crores a year earlier.
The company said the quarterly net profit figure includes an estimated pre-tax restructuring cost of Rs 26 crores, which it disclosed as an exceptional item.
First-half results
For the six months from April to September, consolidated revenue from operations reached Rs 15,366 crores, up 15% from Rs 13,392 crores in the first half of the prior fiscal. Operating profit for the period was Rs 1,723 crores, while net profit came in at Rs 641 crores, against Rs 271 crores a year earlier. The same estimated pre-tax restructuring cost of Rs 26 crores is included in the half-year figure as an exceptional item.
Apollo Tyres said its Indian operations carried the strong revenue growth momentum into the second quarter, reflecting what the company described as the effectiveness of its growth initiatives.
Chairman cites rural reach, cricket tie-up and CV launches
Commenting on the results, Chairman Onkar Kanwar attributed growth across categories in India to sustained rural expansion efforts and the company's strategic association with cricket. He added that the launch of new products in the commercial vehicle segment in India strengthened performance during the past quarter.
Kanwar also pointed to external pressure, noting that geopolitical tensions in West Asia remain a headwind, resulting in elevated input costs and supply chain disruptions.
CFO appointment
The board approved the appointment of Ravi Kumar Shingari as chief financial officer, effective November 4, 2026. Shingari joined Apollo Tyres in 2018 as group head, finance, and has held responsibilities across budgeting, accounts and investor relations; more recently he was given additional responsibility for legal.
Before joining Apollo Tyres, he spent more than 16 years at KPMG, where his last assignment was partner, tax and regulatory. He is a chartered accountant and holds a bachelor's degree [B.Com(H)] in commerce from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University.
In the CFO role, Shingari will report directly to Neeraj Kanwar, vice chairman and managing director.
